Our Vision

Empowered Ghanaians taking action to continually improve their health, welfare and livelihood.

Our Mission

CIC is committed to a mutually respectful and sustainable partnership with leadership and members of public and private sector organisations, civil society organisations and communities in their efforts to improve health, welfare, livelihoods and the environment.

Program Approach

CIC aims at achieving its empowerment goals for the various target groups through educational seminars and workshops, training and advocacy and other capacity enhancement activities. Development and deployment of appropriate communication materials (print  and electronic)  using the most current and state of the art techniques is a key component of all communication and is educational activities.

Most of the empowerment activities are organised in-house for the various client organisations in order to reduce cost.

Resource persons who facilitate the seminars, workshops, training and advocacy sessions are  selected periodically as needed from a CIC human resource bank of highly qualified and experienced practitioners in the field of health programs delivery, health and development communication, training, community mobilization, advocacy and agricultural extension communication.

CIC has a staff of highly qualified persons with decades of experience in social and behaviour change communication and the promotion of health and development advocacy. Between 2007 and 2013 CIC operated as a sub-grantee to the Johns Hopkins Centre for Communication Programs in implementing the Voices for a Malaria-free Future  malaria advocacy project in Ghana. This was a highly successful project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation that introduced the concept of District Malaria
Advocacy Teams in 20 districts in Ghana and contributed strongly to MMDAs work in reducing malaria prevalence in those highly endemic malaria districts.
